Design-build facility achieves SPiRiT Gold certification.
DonahueFavret was the lead on this design-build project for a new state-of-the-art facility, home to 114 soldiers of the 205th Engineer Battalion. The project was originally bid with a set of 35% documents prepared by an architect selected by the Louisiana Army National Guard (LAANG). The project consisted of a main building, a maintenance training bay, an unheated storage building, a flammable waste building, and a wash rack. The design had to comply with Anti-Terrorism Force Protection regulations. The project achieved a Gold SPiRiT (Sustainable Project Rating Tool) certification, which is a similar system to LEED.
