Patrick Descant directs the Preconstruction Services Department of DonahueFavret Contractors where he leads each project from concept through the turnover of completed contract documents to the DFC Operations Department. He oversees the preconstruction teams with competitive and negotiated bids, preconstruction services, and all budgeting efforts.
Before joining DonahueFavret, Patrick spent the first 12 years after graduating from LSU with a large general contractor in New Orleans. During that time he worked in operations as a project manager and subsequently as a Board Member and Vice President of Field Operations.
He completed $170 million in projects while serving in this role, including the Ochsner Critical Care Expansion, Children’s Hospital ER/OR Expansion and Research Buildings, and the Fairgrounds Racetrack Reconstruction.
Throughout his 28 years within the industry, he has become a highly motivated and trusted partner of our clients, design partners, and subcontractors. He was elected to the DFC Board of Directors in 2011 and became a partner in 2019.
