Major historic renovation of New Orleans hospitality iconic property.
DonahueFavret was contracted to undertake a major renovation of the historic St. Christoper Hotel. The project was initially not financially feasible because the building simply did not produce a sufficient number of guest rooms. After further study, the team determined that there was enough ceiling height to remove the third floor and replace it with a mezzanine and two new floors. These new additions provided 17 more guest rooms. These extra guest rooms increased the projected revenue per available room to the point where the entire restoration project became financially viable. The project included a full facade restoration.

Campo Architects would like to thank DonahueFavret Contractors for the excellent job done on the conversion of 114 Magazine Street into St Christopher Best Western Hotel. The transformation of the abandoned century old Dwyer warehouse building in downtown New Orleans into a superb new boutique hotel is a sterling example of what can be accomplished by skilled professionals to rejuvenate our inner cities.
